First the old lath and plaster ceiling was removed, along with the horse-hair plaster from the walls.
Unfortunately, the floor had been a very popular hotel for woodworm and rot. The entire floor had to come out. The supporting walls
were crumbling, and we decided it would be best to replace them as well. This was approx. April 2004
